I needed to replace both rear tires, 2015 GLA250. made appointment online, for Monday October 26, 2020 , arrived at appointment 10 min early. Advisor Mike Ferraro greeted me, and we reviewed what i needed, he tagged the car, and asked me to wait in the lounge, after waiting about 1:30, Mr. Ferraro advised me they did not have my tires in stock and it would be avail Wednesday around 3pm. I inquired about a loaner, and he advised there was none avail, but he could offer, reimbursement of $35.00 a day if I rented a car. I opted to rent a car, he walked me to the parking lot and pointed at the rental place across street and said there it is, you can walk over, see you Wednesday. When I returned Wednesday at 2:30 he stated the car was not ready it would be another hour or so before it was ready, I can wait or come back. I left and decided to return the rental car and walk back. The rental office did give me the Mercedes benz deal, but watch out that deal is not based on the usual 24 cycle rental cars normally use. example if you pick up at 3pm your 24hr rental is 3pm next day. Well they do a daily rate. So even though I had the car 2 days on the 24hour cycle I was charged 3 days, the Monday when i picked it up , Tuesday and Wednesday. Which a regular rental would have been Monday 3pm to Tuesday 3pm is one day, Tuesday 3pm to Wednesday 3pm is the second day, but not for the dealership rate. they charged 3 days. Maybe the Dealership is getting ripped off and doesn't know it. When my car was completed Mr. Ferraro, apologized for the mix up from Monday and he would offer me a discount for my inconvenience, I appreciated that offer while waiting for my car. I was looking over the invoice to see just how much Mr. Ferraro was able to offer my inconvenience, I looked up the price listed on the invoice and the dealer website and they were the same? No discount. and there was no credit for the car rental. I asked Mr. Ferraro what discount he was referring to , because the invoice price was the same listed on Mercedes website. He looked it over and apologized stating that he thought that price was a discounted price. So he was not able to get any discount and I did not get any discount for my inconvenience, on the two tires. I asked about the rental car credit, he asked for my receipt from the car rental which i gave him., when he reviewed and said he will credit back $90.45 which was the base price of 3 day rental, I paid taxed, insurance and all the other fee associated with the car rental which came to $90.51. Two days have passed and my card was charged the full amount $418.35, still no credit for rental ($90.45) and no credit for inconvenience that Mr Ferraro with a smile said he will get me. When you buy a quality car, like a Mercedes-Benz ( I've owned 3) you expect a better quality relationship with consumers. Unfortunately this experience, with a simple goal to purchase 2 new tires, was far from convenient, and I would not recommend this Advisor , as they say the smiles where there but he just did not produce or properly represent a quality product I've considered Mercedes-Benz to be.I hope this input helps someone in the future. I guess Im going to have to go thru my credit card company to that credit. Thanks, be safe.
